W3 Professorship for High Frequency Technology
Your Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be a competent representative of the field of "High-Frequency Technology." She or he will work with new, future-oriented technologies in one of the following areas: high-frequency technology and systems, optoelectronics, or photonics.
The successful candidate is expected to have a proven track record of research activities in at least one of the following areas and to be willing to engage in further areas:
- High-frequency systems for biomedicine
- RF and power electronics
- THz electronics
- SAW/BAW/MEMS
- Chiplet technology
- Materials for integrated photonics
Application areas include biology and biomedicine, quantum sensing, quantum communication and quantum signal processing, data communication, sensor technology and measurement technology, including imaging.
The successful candidate (f/m/d) is expected to be committed to the university's strategic goals and to actively shape its holistic development. In addition to the classic service areas of a university (research, teaching and studies, transfer, governance and administration), this applies in particular to digitalisation, internationalisation, equality and diversity, as well as knowledge exchange.

Individual career decisions and career breaks due to parental/family care leave affecting research output will be taken into account by the appointment committee.
Requirements
- A degree in a relevant field
- Pedagogical aptitude
- Special qualification for in-depth independent scientific work, as a rule proven by an above-average doctorate
- Additional academic achievements, usually within the framework of a junior professorship, a post-doctoral degree (Habilitation) or through achievements equivalent to a Habilitation
