Your Profile
- Sound scientific knowledge and experience in the field of construction operations, including, for example, work preparation, digital object-oriented planning methods, BIM, scheduling, costing, construction management and construction process management
- Outstanding scientific and teaching qualifications
- Several years of relevant professional experience in the construction industry; practical experience in construction management or construction supervision is a plus
- A clear, application-oriented research profile is desired, one that facilitates collaborative research projects
- Fluency in German and English; knowledge of French is desirable
- Additional skills in another language are an advantage, as is proof of international contacts and experience
Your Qualifications (according to the Saarland Higher Education Act SHSG)
- A university degree in a relevant field
- Teaching skills, generally verified by experience in teaching or training and by participation in advanced and further training courses in higher education didactics
- A special aptitude for scientific work, as demonstrated, as a rule, by the quality of a doctorate
- Special achievements in the application or development of scientific knowledge and methods gained during at least five years of professional practice, of which at least three years must have been spent outside the higher education sector, in a field corresponding to the subject being represented
Your Tasks
- Taking over relevant courses in the degree programs Europäisches Baumanagement (European Civil Engineering) and Bauingenieurwesen (Civil and Structural Engineering)
- Active participation in teaching the basics
- Transnational cooperation and commitment within the framework of the DFHI - Franco-German University Institute - and in the DFHI degree programs in European Civil Engineering (BA/MA)
- Development and implementation of innovative teaching concepts
- Dedicated participation in furthering the faculty and the university
- Willingness to cooperate and work in an interdisciplinary manner across different fields of study
- Representing your subject area in teaching, research and academic development
- Offering English and possibly French-language lectures
- On-site presence at the university in order to provide optimal support for students
