Professor (W2 fixed term) (m/f/d)

The professorship is intended to support highly qualified early-career researchers at universities and is limited to a term of 6 years. The University Medical Center Ulm seeks to strengthen its scientific profile by recruiting outstanding researchers; in particular, exceptional talent including those from abroad is encouraged to apply.

Tasks and Expectations

• The research focus should lie within the core research areas of the Faculty of Medicine: aging, neurosciences, oncology, and trauma (open topic).
• Active participation in the development and implementation of new teaching concepts for the Faculty of Medicine’s degree programs is expected.
• Candidates are expected to be willing to collaborate in research networks within the Faculty of Medicine and the University of Ulm, as well as to help shape new collaborative initiatives.

Requirements

• Applicants should demonstrate an independent research profile, evidenced by high-impact publications and the acquisition of external funding.
• Employment requirements are completed university studies as well as teaching aptitude, a doctoral degree and further pertinent scientific achievements (§ 47 LHG).
