Your Tasks:

  • Conducting experiments on mouse models of ischemic stroke
  • Analyze samples using flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and fluorescence microscopy
  • Perform cell culture work and immunoassays

Your Profile:

  • Highly motivated with a strong interest in addressing relevant biomedical research questions
  • You want to develop further in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Willingness to work with animal models
  • Excellent English skills, both written and spoken
  • Ideally, experience in experimental immunology (e.g., sterile tissue injury) and/or neurobiology
  • Completed university degree (Diploma or Master of Science) in immunology, neurobiology, or a related field; candidates with a medical degree are also encouraged to apply
  • Practical experience with mouse handling, surgical procedures, and flow cytometry is an advantage

The Institute for Experimental Immunology & Imaging is involved in the visualization and functional analysis of immune cells in vitro and in vivo. Enjoy working in an innovative, scientific team with a focus on the visualization and functional analysis of immune cells in vitro and in vivo. This project will focus on clarifying how the interaction of gut microbiome with neutrophils affects inflammation after ischemic stroke. For this, in-vivo mouse models and in-vitro tests are used with state-of-the-art microscopic, flow cytometric, and mass spectroscopic methods.
